Hello, I’m Christa

I believe travel is transformative and that growth always happens outside your comfort zone.

In 2006, I lost my soul to Italy with my first taste of gelato al cioccolato on an ancient street in Florence, where I spent a semester studying Italian, photojournalism, and creative writing. Those four months set me on a long path of self-discovery that ultimately led me to join Departure Lounge – an innovative and well-respected travel agency – in 2017 and then to create my own brand to help others travel and experience more of the world while discovering themselves, too.

My passion for personal development and the amazing community I’ve built through destination retreats and workshops around the world inspired me to create Wild Roots Travel. I hope to offer a space where other women entrepreneurs can see their ideal vision of a destination retreat manifest before them without all the stress and time it takes to research, negotiate, and deal with legalities of seller of travel laws.

I also want to help women travel the world in comfortable luxury, whether they’re relaxing, working, or adventuring. Retreat or vacation, let your travel take you to the next level.

While my home and heart are in Salt Lake City, Utah with my husband, my soul urges me to travel as often as possible.

I plan your trips in partnership with

My Philosophy Behind Wild Roots Travel

Retreats can mean a lot to different people. To me, a retreat means escaping the everyday to become present, learn more about myself, make friends, have new experiences, and see the world.

You know the clarifying impact a 20-minute meditation can have or what an incredible weekend of yoga can do for the soul? I want to help you take that feeling to the next level for your attendees, not just by giving you a fresh backdrop, but by incorporating purposeful accommodations and activities into the lessons you’re teaching at your retreat.

Picture The Palm in Dubai, one of the richest cities in the world to teach money mentality, and we surprise your participants with a coffee chat with one of Dubai’s wealthiest business women.

Or take your participants on a journey of mindfulness in the Italian Dolomites with guided meditation and breathwork. As a special treat, usher them on a sensual food experience—selecting ingredients from the local market and taking a cooking class—and then finally lead them in mindful eating of the meal they prepared.

When you get outside of the hotel conference room and experience more of the world, a greater connection is forged not only between each other and the world but also within ourselves.
